Educator and Researcher
Jian Jones serves as an occupational therapy professor at one of the leading HBCUs in the country. As the Mindful Hip-Hop Scholar, Professor Jones embodies Hip-Hop identity within the classroom. As a researcher, Professor Jones aims to add to the bodies of literature relating to Hip-Hop pedagogy, identity, cultural relevancy & occupational science.
Jian Jones is a wellness creative; poet, producer, & director. Currently, Jian is completing a year long project involving album recreations by artist of influence. With the VOL: 2021 album recreations, Jian seeks to provide mindful correlations using nostalgic album covers true Hip-Hop identities have come to love. As a reminder... Mindfulness is Hip-Hop.
